The “Real World”: Your Life After College

“All things are difficult before they are easy”

– Thomas Fuller

Congratulations! You’ve finally graduated! No more exams, no more all-nighter, no more homeworks, projects and research papers, no more surprise quiz, no more recitations! No more waking up early in the morning! No more stress! Not.

Life after college isn’t just some kind of a game where you can find some cheat sheets or walkthrough online to guide you on what you should be doing.. You are now officially an adult, and being an adult means having to face a lot of responsibilities for the rest of your life. The question is, are you prepared? Below are a few tips that can hopefully keep you back on track if you’re feeling uncertain with your life after college.

Be Patient. You cannot easily have the life you wanted in just a snap of a finger. Everything in this world takes time, you just have to be patient and not lose hope, remember that life is no race.

Be kind to yourself. Some people will expect that you have your life figured out by now, but what they do not know is that it isn’t easy as ABC’s. There will always be time where things will not go in your way, and when that time comes, do not be too hard on yourself. Go take a break, hang out with your loved ones and do not forget to bounce back and go back on track.

Follow your Heart. It is better to start late with your life full of what you love doing than an early one that is spent on a miserable way.

Do not compare. Life is not a competition, it isn’t about who gets in the better company nor who gets the higher salary. Remember that you are just starting, there is yet more opportunities to come in your life.
